Eternal Dignity - Day Six

The 4 members of DAY SIX are barely 20 years old and with ‘Eternal dignity’ they have released a high quality record. It’s incredible to see so many high quality releases coming out of Holland, because this year we have had fantastic Progressive Rock/Metal releases from CASUAL SILENCE, SUN CAGED, SILENT EDGE and now we can add DAY SIX!
This band used to be called PEANUTS, of whom we even reviewed a demo sometime ago, but since late last year they are called DAY SIX. The music they play is pure Progressive Metal with a lot of Symphonic keyboards, not unlike KAMELOT, POWER OF OMENS and VANDENPLAS. The CD has a good production and the included 7 long songs are very impressive. The CD has a playing length of 54 minutes and it’s really a pleasure to listen to such a great record from start to finish. Highlights are “Legend of the hollow”, “Day 6” (a masterpiece!) and “The crypt”. The band has a very good lead singer (guitarist Robbie van Stiphout) and like I said before in this review, this is a high quality Prog. Metal record. Highly recommended to fans of this genre!
