Album Reviews
Progressive World
By: Davide Guidone
Eternal Dignity - Day Six
This album is definitely interesting and shows a young band with a lot of original ideas, even if it can be possible to find influences that carried this work to life. This wide range of influences can find their feedback in the progressive and hard rock of the Seventies, some progressive metal of the Nineties, and even some Metallica hints, like on "Water & Stones."
Moreover, in some of the songs like this one and "The Law Of The Web" you can listen to a very tasty female choir that helps Robbie Van Stiphout through the melodic vocal lines.
Maybe the only negative aspect of this release is the sound and executive production; however, I receive and reviewed the first, self-released version, so it is obvious that the guys can do much better with the strong support of a good label.
I'm saying all that also because these great Dutch musicians don't have European distribution yet, but I strongly believe they won't have any problem finding that asap.
